Basic Bitch Wines on a Budget
Basic bitches rejoice! If my previous wine post wasn’t up your alley, this one is sure to be your new best friend for the holidays. As everyone knows, a bottle of wine is a wonderful gift for any occasion, but most people would appreciate it even more when you’re forced to hang with family during Thanksgiving. (Ha ha, kidding guys! Or am I.)
This is your guide for all tasty wines that 1. Won’t break the bank 2. Found at most grocery stores and D. So delicious that you can throw back a glass or 5 and nobody will judge you. (If anyone picked up my movie reference from this last paragraph, I will give you a present.)
Here we go! Also, the product is not guaranteed to be in stock at the listed stores below, they are just typically carried there, FYI. Don’t come after me if you run into CVS and they don’t have Meiomi in stock. If you have a specialty wine shop close to you, chances are high that they will carry some of these wines as well.
Meiomi 2017, California ($20) – Sold at Giant, Safeway, Target, CVS, Walgreens, Total Wine
Angeline 2017, California ($12) - Sold at Total Wine, Wegmans, Giant, Trader Joe’s
Elouan 2017, Oregon ($20) **one of my personal favorites** – Sold at Total Wine, Giant, Trader Joe’s
La Crema 2016, Monterey*, California ($17) **They have several other Pinot Noirs on their website that you can purchase directly from them ** – Sold at Target, Giant, Safeway, Total Wine, Harris Teeter
J. Lohr 2017, California ($17) – Sold at Target, Giant, Safeway, Total Wine
Belle Glos Clark & Telephone, Las Alturas, Dairyman, California ($45-$55) – This is the big daddy of delicious Pinots. You will impress your guests 100% if you roll up to a party with this bad boy. I have seen the Las Alturas at Giant, however the other varietals can be found at Total Wine or on their website.
Freakshow 2016, California ($16-$20) – Sold at Giant, Safeway, Trader Joes, Total Wine, Harris Teeter, World Market, Target, Bed Bath and Beyond (who knew that they sell wine?)
Josh Cellars 2017, California ($12) – Sold literally everywhere. I bet your neighbor even has it. The shorter list would be, who DOESN’T sell it.
Decoy 2016, California ($18) – Sold at Safeway, Giant, Harris Teeter, Total Wine, Target, Whole Foods, Trader Joes, World Market
Joel Gott 815, California ($13) – Sold at Total Wine, Giant, CVS, Target

That is all, my friends! If you have any questions at all, leave a comment below or find us on IG! If you are not local to the DMV and are interested in purchasing some of these wines, most of their websites have store locators listed. Hope you have found this helpful, and if you are feeling generous this holiday season you are free to ship a case of any of the above directly to my house. Thanks in advance.
